About Mr. Leake

About Mr. Leake...

FAMILY:
I am the father of four children and three grandchildren (Mikayla/Steven/Brittney/Sasha (Nick); Jacari, Iliyah, & Imani)

HOMETOWN:
Being the son of a pastor, we moved several times while I was a child. I have lived in Chapel Hill, Siler City, Monroe, Raleigh, and now Thomasville. I don't really consider any one place my hometown, but I'm a proud graduate of Monroe High School.

WHAT IS THE BEST THING THAT HAS HAPPENED TO YOU AS AN EDUCATOR?
There are several things that have taken place during my career that I am proud of. Out of my 20 years in education, I am most proud of the accomplishments of former students and playing a small roll in their success. With hard work and determination many have reached their goals and beyond. Several even remain in contact with me years after I either coached or taught them.

HOW DO YOU BUILD RAPPORT WITH STUDENTS?
My goal is for students to understand I have high expectations for them and I will do everything in my power to assist them in being successful. I attempt to treat each student as an individual while treating them all fairly.
